Are you looking to start a rewarding career in the Gas Fitting Industry? This course is your gateway to this licensed trade, setting you on the path to become a registered Gas Fitter. Train in our state-of-the-art gas fitting facilities at the Balga Campus, equipped with the latest Type A gas-fired appliances.

Gain hands-on experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of various Type A gas-fired appliances used in domestic, commercial, caravan, and marine craft installations.

To undertake any work with natural or LPG gases, registration with DMIRS (Energy Safety) is required. This course will enable you to apply for your 'Restricted Class G Gas Fitting Permit' from DMIRS (Energy Safety). 

  • Installation, testing, and commissioning of various Type A gas-fired appliances, ensuring they meet all safety and operational standards.
  • Reading and interpreting the Australian Standards for Gas (AS/NZS5601), which includes understanding the regulations and guidelines necessary for safe and compliant gas fitting work.
