This is a perfect course if you have some sewing  experience and are ready to take the next step to design and make your own patterns to sew.  
Whether you are looking to take the first steps to start a career in garment construction or just love designing and making garments then this is for you. 

Come and learn beginner pattern making techniques to manipulate basic patterns and blocks to custom design patterns at our friendly and professional fashion design department in the heart of the city. We've trained Australian designers for decades and pride ourselves in training the fashion and textile designers of the future.

  • Identify and use patternmaking tools, blocks and techniques.
  • Pattern making principles of dart manipulation and contouring
  • Pattern making techniques of drafting, pivoting and square blocking
  • Adjusting patterns to suit the characteristics of fashion fabrics
