Congratulations to two outstanding NMTAFE students who were recently announced as the runners up in the Australian Training Awards (ATA).

  • The ATA are the peak national awards that showcases best practice in vocational education training.
  • Students, Cheyne Pearce and Trent Caldwell were nominated for the national awards after winning the WA Trainee of the Year 2020 and WA Vocational Student of the Year 2020 respectively at the WA Training Awards held earlier this year.

After completing a Certificate IV in Horticulture, Cheyne feels he has landed his dream job working with Kings Park and Botanic Gardens.  Cheyne considers his role as more than a job, it’s a career that makes a positive contribution to the environment.

Trent Caldwell successfully completed a Diploma of Marketing and Communication and is now thoroughly enjoying applying his skills in his role as the Social Media Manager for Near Me Real Estate as well as managing the Facebook page WhatsOn Perth, one of the city’s largest event publishers.
